Story
In the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, the Indian football team suffered a crushing defeat to Yugoslavia. With this huge loss, the negotiators started taunting the Indian players. Indian team coach Syed Abdul Rahim (played by Ajay Devgn) explained the reason for the loss to the Football Association of India. He said he needed a whole new group of players. Rahim then traveled all over India from his hometown Hyderabad to find new talented youngsters for the team. The rest of the film shows Rahim’s arduous journey and all the challenges he faces as he tries to rebuild the Indian football team with new talent.
