Story
The film is about Viraj (played by Nani), a professional photographer and single father who takes care of his 6-year-old daughter Mahi (Baby Kaira Khanna). Mahi asks Viraj about his mother every day, but he never tells her anything.
Viraj finally agrees to tell Mahi about his mother only when Mahi comes first in her class. Mahi does get the first step, but Viraj breaks his promise and still doesn’t tell her about his mother. Saddened by this, the girl runs away from home.
Just then Yashna (Mrinal Thakur) steps in and saves Mahi from the accident. The rest of the film shows how Yashna changes the lives of Viraj and his daughter Mahii.
The original story seems to revolve around the strong bond between a father and his young daughter, and the positive influence of another woman nearby.

Review
Hi Nanna is a decent family drama film with some good emotional moments. Nani, Mrinal Thakur and Baby Kiara Khanna are good in their respective roles. The story and music are the great strengths of the film.
However, the pace is sometimes a bit slow, and many listeners don’t find it very interesting. There are a few aspects that could have been better presented.
If you enjoy watching emotional, dramatic films, Hi Nanna is a relaxing movie choice to watch this weekend. While not a blockbuster, it offers a gripping family story driven by decent casting and an emotional story.
