Story
Akshay Kumar plays the lead role of Jaswant Singh Gill of IIT Dhanbad in the film. His heroic efforts of character saved the lives of 65 miners trapped in the Ranigunj mine disaster. Parineeti Chopra plays the innocent Kaurgil, wife of Jaswant Singh Gill. His performance adds emotional depth to this incredible real-life story.
The basic concept of “Mission Ranigunj” began in July 2022, which was a milestone in the filmmaking journey. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra pitched in to bring Akshay’s real-life adventure to the screen, along with other actors who joined the cast later that summer.
