Story
Kabir (played by Prithviraj Sukumaran) steals vital supplies from the Indian Army and kills some soldiers. The package contains classified information, threatening national security. Misha (played by Manushi Chhillar) tries to stop Kabir’s group, but fails.
Two cops named Feroz (Akshay Kumar) and Rakesh (Tiger Shroff) are tasked to find Kabir and stop him. On this mission, they get help from Misha and Pam (Alaya F).
The film is about who Kabir is and why he turned against the Indian Army. It also shows the contents of the bag stolen by Kabir. The main question is whether Feroz and Rakesh are able to stop Kabir or not.
Technical Aspects
The viewing experience was complemented by poor quality computer graphics (CGI), below average film or camera work. For an expensive film with such a big budget, the makers should have paid more attention to the technical details.
Music and backing tracks are also poor. Composer Vishal Mishra did not do a bad job. If there were a couple of very popular songs or “chartbusters” it could have made the movie a little better. Ali Abbas Zafar’s direction was good and unexpected.
Review
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff work well in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and their chemistry makes the first half of the film something to watch interesting things. But once the backstory of the villain (played by Prithviraj Sukumaran) is revealed, the film becomes boring and predictable.
The second half of the film has no entertainment value. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s acting suffers due to poor writing. The new and innovative ideas need to be introduced to keep the films alive and entertaining.
